As the global green and low-carbon transition gathers momentum, China-made green mobility products are racing into overseas markets. In Jiangsu, electric two‑wheelers, hydrogen‑powered smart trams and new‑energy vehicles are shifting from product export to technology, brand and solution exports, tapping into broader global markets. According to Nanjing Customs, in the first seven months of this year, Jiangsu exported 6.62 billion yuan worth of e-motorcycles and e-bicycles and 33.58 billion yuan worth of e-passenger vehicles, rising by 38.8 % and 3.8 % year on year respectively.

On August 20, 1.7 million yuan worth of electric two‑wheelers, which were manufactured by Wuxi TAILG Technology, set off for Kenya. According to the Director for Overseas Business, the company has reinforced the frames, shock‑absorbing systems and dust‑proof sealing of components in light of local conditions, and enhanced the battery life. Its products now hold a 10 % market share in Kenya.

In Kuching, Malaysia, hydrogen‑powered smart trams manufactured by CRRC MRT Holding Group are undergoing on‑board program debugging and field trial operations. They will soon be integrated into the urban road network to deliver efficient, low‑carbon mobility solutions for local communities. The project comprises 38 hydrogen‑powered smart trams with a planned operating route totaling 69.9 kilometers.

Statistics from Taicang Customs show that in the first seven months of this year, Taicang Customs oversaw the export of around 790,000 vehicles via the Taicang Port, a year‑on‑year increase of around 80 %, among which around 480,000 were new‑energy vehicles, surging 102 % year on year. From January to July, the Wujin Comprehensive Bonded Zone registered new‑energy vehicle exports worth 270 million yuan, marking a significant year‑on‑year growth. “Since we began exporting complete vehicles via the comprehensive bonded zone last year, our tax‑refund cycle has been shortened by more than half,” said an operations manager from Jiangsu Bestlinecn Modern Logistics.
