Recently, hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and organized by Jiangsu Govtor Capital Group, a financing matchmaking event for high-potential enterprises across Jiangsu was held in Nanjing.

A total of 43 high-quality, high-potential enterprises from across the province participated in the event, covering key sectors such as biomedicine, AI and new energy, as well as various stages of development, from start-ups to growth-stage and mature enterprises. Their financing needs included upgrading existing lithium battery products and developing next-generation solid-state batteries, developing key components for wireless communications and upgrading supporting production lines, building AI-based gene therapy platforms, and R&D of payloads for computing‑enabled satellite constellations and capacity expansion and upgrading of production lines. At the matchmaking event, the high-potential enterprises introduced their respective profiles and put forward equity financing needs, focusing on such areas as technological breakthroughs, capital increases and capacity expansion, and market expansion. The total funding involved was approximately RMB 3.5 billion.

The event also brought together 20 major state-owned venture capital firms, leading financial institutions and well-known investment institutions in Jiangsu, including Jiangsu State‑owned Capital Investment Group, Bank of Jiangsu, Suzhou Oriza Holdings Corporation and Huatai Zijin Investment. Drawing on their respective investment strategies and industrial resources, the participating investment institutions responded actively and engaged in targeted matchmaking on site, seeking areas of convergence for cooperation among the government, enterprises and financial institutions. Multiple enterprises and investment institutions reached preliminary cooperation intent.

According to an official with the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, further work will be done to refine long‑term service mechanisms, bolster inter‑departmental coordination, put in place a regular, multi‑dimensional financing service system, foster deeper integration among the innovation, industrial, capital and talent chains, and steadily improve the industrial‑financial ecosystem. These measures aim to deliver more targeted services for enterprise growth and support higher‑quality and more efficient industrial development.
