updated on:2026-07-10 18:48

The China-Netherlands (Liyang) Technology Innovation Park has been officially inaugurated recently, with the first batch of 12 cooperative projects settled onsite. These ventures span multiple high-end frontier sectors: smart energy storage, precision machining, embodied AI, and innovative pharmaceutical R&D. A number of globally prestigious institutions have also set up representative offices within the park.

Rooted in Liyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the park advances development under the framework of “one hub, one platform and one industrial base”. Taking the Netherlands as its European gateway, it will deepen ties with Germany, France, Italy and other European nations across key sectors including new energy batteries, smart manufacturing, high-tech agriculture, and integrated cultural, commercial and tourism development.

Exchanges and cooperation between Liyang and the Netherlands have strengthened markedly over recent years. A host of local Liyang enterprises have proactively tapped into the Dutch market, exporting home-grown products ranging from transformers and auto spare parts to feed processing equipment.

Li Chaokun, Secretary of the CPC Liyang Committee, noted that Liyang maintains a sister-city relationship with Leeuwarden of the Netherlands. He stated that the city will develop the park to high standards by fostering a first-class business ecosystem, delivering streamlined administrative services and rolling out full-spectrum supporting amenities. He extended a warm invitation to more Dutch enterprises to invest and thrive in Liyang for win-win outcomes and shared prosperity.
