updated on:2026-06-17 08:50

The Jiangsu Province Data Infrastructure Development Report (2025), jointly compiled by the Jiangsu Provincial Data Administration and other entities, was recently released. The report shows that by the end of 2025, Jiangsu’s total computing power ranked at the forefront nationwide, with its comprehensive computing power index placing second nationally.

Computing power represents a new form of productive force in the digital economy era and serves as a cornerstone of artificial intelligence. By the end of 2025, the province had 284 operational data centers, with the total computing power reaching 88.29 EFlops, of which intelligent computing power was 65.51 EFlops, accounting for over 74% of the total. A distinctive feature of Jiangsu’s computing power is its deep embedment into production lines and everyday scenarios. Guided by an application-driven approach, the province has focused on industrial manufacturing, transportation, healthcare, financial services, and scientific research to promote deep integration between computing power and the real economy, as well as between the industrial and innovation chains, thereby cultivating a number of valuable and implementable intelligent application scenarios. In the field of “computing power + industrial manufacturing”, enterprises such as Nanjing Iron & Steel have applied “digital profiling” functions to evaluate steel products, thereby supporting production decisions. In the field of “computing power + healthcare”, the School of Life Sciences at Nanjing University has leveraged the computing power of the Jiangbei New Area’s intelligent computing center to develop the “Jinling·Nüwa” research large model, which assists in drug design and development and significantly shortens the R&D cycle.
