The May Day holiday witnessed the opening of a host of first stores across Yancheng, fueling consumption as debut store economy demonstrated ever-stronger appeal to customers.
The morning of May 1 saw residents flocking into the newly-opened Xinchenli Shopping Center at Tinghu District. As a new commercial landmark in eastern Yancheng, Xinchenli houses over 150 brand stores from Freshippo grocery store, trendy toy shop to family amusement zone, among which more than 30 of them are debut stores within the city or region, and is equipped with over 1,000 parking spaces, fully catering to people’s shopping and leisure demands.
In Yancheng Golden Eagle International Shopping Center, nine brands made their debut, including Nike KL, Dazzle and Shine Into, offering a diverse mix of trendy apparel, catering options and skincare products. The first store of Chayan Yuese in Yancheng recorded over 1,800 orders on its opening day.
This holiday consumption boom stems from Yancheng’s well-targeted policy incentives. In the upcoming Consumption Season, the city will launch a host of activities centering on six main sectors—clothing, catering, housing, traveling, smart life, and specialty products. With a special fund of RMB 110 million earmarked to the public, this initiative will inject strong momentum into the consumer market.
