Recently, a user-side grid-forming energy storage station went into grid-connected operation at Qishuyan Rail Transit Industrial Park in Changzhou Economic Development Zone, becoming the first-ever one of its kind in South Jiangsu. The station, with a total capacity of 8.3 MWh, boasts black start capability which enables it to instantly switch to off-grid operation in the event of a grid outage, so as to ensure stable power supply for local enterprises. The project is expected to cut carbon dioxide emissions by an equivalent of 3,530 tonnes annually, comparable to planting 196,000 trees.
