From April 25 to 26, the “High-tech Zone–University Synergy·Two-Way Exchange (Scientists into Enterprises, Entrepreneurs into Universities)” — an industry-university-research matchmaking event titled “Tech Experts Enter Enterprises” — was launched, with special sessions on electronics and biomedicine held in Suzhou. Vice Governor Zhao Yan attended and addressed the event.
Vice Governor Zhao Yan pointed out that deepening the collaboration between high-tech zones and higher education institutions, and regularly organizing activities such as “scientists entering enterprises and entrepreneurs entering universities”, are important measures to advance the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent, to more strongly encourage research oriented to industry and demand, and to strengthen the deep integration of innovation, industry, capital, and talent chains. Through “Two-Way Exchange between Universities (Institutes) and Enterprises”, we aim to build a direct bridge and establish an enterprise-led industry-university-research innovation network to unleash innovation vitality across the region.
Vice Governor Zhao Yan emphasized the need to deeply understand reason of the two-way exchange, and to take on the mission of the times for integrating science and technology with industry from a higher perspective. He stressed the importance of accurately identifying the target and method of the exchange, and making solid efforts in precise matchmaking, in-depth services, and technology transfer. He also called for fully ensuring effective exchange by strengthening inter-departmental coordination, integrating superior resources, and fostering an innovation ecosystem that encourages innovation, tolerates failure, and respects and cherishes talent.
