In the first two months of this year, the number of Yangtze River Delta's China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains reached 525, a year-on-year increase of 27.3%.
Since the opening of the first China-Europe (Central Asia) freight train from Suzhou to Warsaw on September 29, 2013, the operating routes of China-Europe (Central Asia) freight trains in the Yangtze River Delta region has grown to 15, reaching 36 countries in Europe and Asia. Among them, there are 25 countries in Europe and 11 countries in Asia.
The freight train from the Yangtze River Delta region can reach Astana, Kazakhstan as fast as 9 days and Hamburg, Germany as fast as 15 days. The goods carried by the train, among others, include electronic products, textiles, automobiles and auto parts, mechanical equipment and furniture.
By the end of 2025, the Yangtze River Delta region had operated over 32,000 China-Europe (China-Central Asia) freight trains, including nearly 16,000 to Europe and over 16,000 to Asia.
In 2025 alone, a total of 5,088 trains were operated, with 516,000 TEUs transported.
