The closing ceremony of the 15th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition’s “AI+Construction Machinery” professional track was recently held in Xuzhou.

Under the theme “Green Intelligence Creates a Better World”, the competition was jointly organized by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education, and Xuzhou Municipal People’s Government, among others. It drew participation from over 760 universities and enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions including Germany and the United Kingdom, with more than 2,750 teams registering and over 1,600 entries collected.

The professional track consists of three modules: competitive contests, customer co-creation, and an open competition to select the best candidates. It serves as a premium platform for technology demonstration, scenario matching and resource networking. During the event, six teams in the open competition for the best candidate reached industrial cooperation agreements, four high-quality projects secured funding and commercialization, and the Global Initiative on AI + Construction Machinery was released. Song Zhiming, Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation, remarked that the competition has built a closed-loop innovation system in which industry leaders pose challenges, authoritative platforms provide support, and real-world scenarios deliver validation. A wide array of projects competed side by side, nurturing high‑potential innovative pipelines for the industrial chain.
