The inaugural “AI + Housing and Urban-Rural Development” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of Jiangsu Province has officially kicked off. Co-hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Data, and Jiangsu Association for Science and Technology, the competition solicits project submissions nationwide under the theme “Smart Minds for Construction · Building an Integrated Future” .

The competition features two tracks: the Open Track for Scientific and Technological Innovation and the Application Track for Best Candidates. Registration for the Open Track for Scientific and Technological Innovation runs from October 28 to November 16. It comprises three sub-tracks: People’s Livelihood Services, Industrial Development, and Safe & Resilient Development. Entries are expected to address real-world challenges with artificial intelligence technologies.

The People’s Livelihood Services Sub-track focuses on housing and urban-rural development scenarios at residents’ doorsteps, advancing AI applications for daily life. Key topics include quality housing and smart homes, complete communities and smart residential areas, urban renewal and renovation of old residential communities, barrier-free environments and age-friendly services.

The Industrial Development Sub-track targets the intelligent, green and integrated transformation of the housing and urban-rural development sector, covering intelligent design and review, intelligent construction and construction robots, smart construction sites and intelligent management.

The Safe & Resilient Development Sub-track centers on the safety of urban operation and building structures, covering urban lifeline infrastructure, urban drainage and flood control, housing safety and building inspection.

The Application Track for Best Candidates prioritizes key areas in housing and urban-rural development, including urban renewal, intelligent construction, low-carbon buildings and digital-intelligent operation and maintenance.
