News came from the Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission that eight Jiangsu projects have been singled out as national landmark application scenarios, a number second largest nationwide.
The eight projects are as follows: embodied AI for construction machinery; medical, wearable robot-enabled elderly care and health services; modern construction industrial chain with intelligent equipment; multi-scenario intelligent collaboration based on the digital infrastructure of new-generation industrial operating systems; full-chain application of offshore wind-solar-hydrogen-storage-utilization system in deep sea; full-cycle mental health service; inter-city collaboration to create a favorable environment for elderly care along the Grand Canal; full-chain openness of river-rail-sea intermodal transport between Nanjing and Beibu Gulf.
The shortlisted projects span a wide spectrum of areas, including new fields and new tracks, industrial transformation and upgrading, and people’s wellbeing. They focus on pillar and future industries such as new energy storage and embodied AI, as well as livelihood priorities such as health and elderly care services for an aging population. These projects will be carried out in six prefecture-level cities: Nanjing, Wuxi, Xuzhou, Suzhou, Yancheng, and Yangzhou. There is ample room to verify the 200 or so new technologies and products as well as more than 110 new systems, standards, and rules involved in these projects. Diverse participants are involved. Central and provincial SOEs, such as China Health and Elderly Care Group and Jiangsu Port Group, along with government agencies and public institutions have opened up scenario resources, attracting the participation of nearly 120 private enterprises and over 30 research institutions.
