The 2025 14th China Intelligent Industry Conference, the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Innovation Conference and the Inauguration for the West Taihu Lake (Changzhou) Artificial Intelligence International Community were held in Changzhou recently. These events facilitated in-depth discussions on the deep integration of intelligent technology with diverse local scenarios, aiming to accelerate the transformation of research results into practical applications and actual productivity.

A broad consensus has been reached throughout Changzhou that artificial intelligence will serve as a major engine to drive high-quality development of future industries. Two major platforms, the Yangtze River Delta Innovation Base of the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence and the West Taihu Lake (Changzhou) Artificial Intelligence Industry and Technology Research Institute were unveiled on the scene, injecting strong momentum into Changzhou's endeavor in the AI sector; meanwhile, academicians Dai Qionghai, Xu Zongben, Zheng Hairong, and Tang Peifu were appointed as Advisors for the development of the West Taihu Lake (Changzhou) International AI Community, providing top-tier intellectual support for the region's future development.

As a key pivot for fueling the advancement of artificial intelligence in Changzhou, the West Taihu (Changzhou) International AI Community is redoubling its efforts. Over the next five years, three provincial and ministerial-level R&D platforms are expected to be set up; over 100 companies from the upstream and downstream along the AI industry chain will be gathered and incubated; over 100 local businesses and more than 1,000 top talent will be attracted to and served in the community. The first batch of 36 projects to settle in the community includes investment institutions, sci-tech innovation projects, service platforms, mentors for start-ups, international cooperation projects, and commercial supporting facilities.
