The 2025 Jiangsu-Germany Dialogue, held in Changzhou from September 12 to 13, witnessed the discussion and sharing of guests from China and Germany on the topic of low-carbon economy and green transformation as they blueprinted future cooperation and development. The event was co-hosted by Changzhou Municipal People’s Government, AHK Greater China, and China-Germany Friendship Association. Nine projects on medical equipment, machinery equipment, and auto parts were signed on this special occasion.
Germany is Changzhou’s most important trade partner, source of FDI and destination of outbound investment within the EU. So far, 269 German-funded enterprises have invested in Changzhou, and seven of the Fortune 500 companies from Germany have been making steady progress since their settlement in the city.
Jiangsu-Germany Dialogue, an annual event initiated five years ago, has grown into one crucial bridge for China-Germany exchanges and communication. Sino-German (Changzhou) Innovation Industry Park, one pivotal platform for cooperation with Germany, now accommodates over 70 enterprises from German-speaking regions, including Zimmer, MD Elektronik, Festo, RAPA, and other hidden champions of different industries, who have brought with them a total investment of over EUR 2.3 billion.
