On July 31, the Jiangsu Provincial Conference on Advancing Digital Society Development was held in Suzhou. The conference studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on data development and security, followed the requirements of the National Data Administration, reviewed the province’s progress in building a digital society, shared local experiences and practices, and set out plans for the next stage of work.

According to reports, Jiangsu has made landmark achievements in key areas of digital society development. The province is moving toward a new landscape characterized by more inclusive and equitable public services, smarter and more convenient daily lives, more precise and efficient governance, and a greener, more livable environment. As a front-runner in the nation in citywide digital transformation, Jiangsu has taken the lead in piloting major digital society scenarios and innovative digital consumption models. A total of 150 exemplary cases have emerged across the province, providing tangible, replicable, and scalable models. Meanwhile, the initiative to empower industries with artificial intelligence continues to advance across various sectors.

Looking ahead, the conference laid out a strategic plan for the next phase. Jiangsu will firmly align with the goals of building a Digital China and fulfilling its data-related mission, deepen the integration of digital and intelligent technologies, and take digital society development to new heights.
