The National Data Administration recently released the first batch of pilot projects for the innovative development of Trusted Data Spaces, marking a critical step in China’s exploration of new models and pathways for large-scale data circulation and utilization. Jiangsu had seven projects selected, accounting for over one-tenth of the total.
The 2025 Trusted Data Space Innovation and Development Pilot Program, organized by the National Data Administration, aims to build a number of trusted data spaces characterized by abundant resources, innovative applications, vibrant ecosystems, and significant outcomes. The initiative seeks to develop replicable and scalable models for trusted data sharing, co-creation of data value, cultivation of data-driven industries, and innovation in data circulation mechanisms, thereby supporting the construction of a national integrated data market.
Following applications, expert reviews, and public announcements, 63 projects were selected, including 13 Urban Trusted Data Spaces, 22 Industry Trusted Data Spaces, and 28 Enterprise Trusted Data Spaces.
The seven projects from Jiangsu are as follows: Nanjing Big Data Group Co., Ltd. was selected as pilot Urban Trusted Data Space; Suzhou National Laboratory, Jiangsu Data Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Sinomach Digital Technology Co., Ltd. were selected as pilot Industry Trusted Data Spaces; XCMG Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and Nanjing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd were selected as pilot Enterprise Trusted Data Spaces.
