updated on:2025-06-17 09:27

A China-Europe freight train carrying smart home appliances departed from Suzhou West Railway Station on June 15, bound for Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.

This marks Jiangsu Province’s first freight train service to Serbia via the Alashankou Port in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It also highlights the continued expansion of Jiangsu’s China-Europe freight train network, which has connected more destinations over the years.

From January to May this year, Suzhou’s freight trains supported foreign trade valued at $46.2 million, providing strong momentum for the region’s economic development.
