From December 1st to 5th, Mr. Xin Changxing, Secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, led a delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to visit the United Kingdom and Malta. The delegation met with Peter Kyle, Secretary of State for Business and Trade of the UK, and Ian Borg, Deputy Leader of Labour Party and Deputy Prime Minister of Malta, and introduced the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee to members of political parties, governments, parliaments, business communities, local authorities, and youth organizations and other various sectors in the UK and Malta, emphasizing the need to seize opportunities brought by China’s high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period and strengthen win-win cooperation.
Both countries made positive remarks on China’s economic development and the stability and certainty it provides to the global market, welcomed China’s implementation of high-level opening-up policies, and expressed their hope to deepen practical cooperation with China and promote the development of China-Europe relations.
