At the recent 2025 China Biotechnology Innovation Conference, the “2025 Competitiveness Evaluation and Analysis Report on China’s Biopharmaceutical Industrial Parks” was released. The report indicates that Jiangsu’s biopharmaceutical industrial parks lead the nation in competitiveness.

The report systematically evaluates biopharmaceutical parks nationwide across multiple dimensions, including environment, industry, technology, talent, and cooperation. The findings show that Jiangsu holds 17 of the top 50 spots for comprehensive competitiveness, accounting for approximately one-third of the national total.

Suzhou Industrial Park, a leader in Jiangsu’s biopharmaceutical sector, maintains its national standing, ranking second in comprehensive competitiveness and first in the individual categories of talent and cooperation competitiveness. The park is home to over 2,000 related enterprises and reported an output value of 165.5 billion RMB in 2024.

In addition to Suzhou Industrial Park, Nanjing Bio-medicine Valley and Taizhou Medical High-Tech Industrial Development Zone also ranked in the top 10 for comprehensive competitiveness, placing 8th and 10th, respectively.
