Jiangsu's three cities surpass 1 trillion yuan in GDP in first three quarters

Jiangsu's gross domestic product (GDP) reached over 10.28 trillion yuan in the first three quarters of 2025, marking a year-on-year growth of 5.4%, according to figures released by the provincial statistics department on November 10. Notably, three cities — Suzhou, Nanjing and Wuxi — each recorded GDP exceeding 1 trillion yuan.

Suzhou remained the provincial leader with a total economic output of 1.993 trillion yuan, followed by Nanjing (about 1.406 trillion yuan) and Wuxi (about 1.189 trillion yuan). All three also ranked among the top cities nationwide in overall economic scale.

All 13 large cities with subordinate districts in Jiangsu posted growth rates above 5.0%. Xuzhou and Huai'an led the province with a 6.0% growth rate, followed by Suqian, Yancheng and Zhenjiang.
