On September 30, Jiangsu province released the Lucid Water, Lush Mountains, Beautiful Jiangsu: Atlas in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China. On the same day, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources presented the atlas to the representatives of provincial authorities and universities in Nanjing.

The atlas is compiled by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Natural Resources, and it includes 57 thematic maps, 46 charts, 163 pictures, with the latest basic geographic information data graph as the base map, bringing together authoritative statistics related to the province’s economy, society, culture, transportation, water conservancy, science and technology, ecology, agriculture, land, forestry, marine environment, wetlands, minerals and other fields. The atlas shows Jiangsu’s beauty from a multi-dimensional perspective and provides references for macro decision-making in natural resource management and ecological progress. The atlas shows Jiangsu’s remarkable achievements in economic and social development, and natural resource protection and utilization from multiple perspectives and at different levels through nine groups of maps, namely the introductory maps, maps of mountains, maps of waterways, maps of forests, maps of farmland, maps of lakes, maps of sea environments, maps of wetlands, maps of protection and development, etc., presenting an all-round picture of Jiangsu’s great achievements in economic and social development and ecological progress.
