Xuzhou International Mail Exchange Bureau officially opened the other day. It is the third international mail exchange bureau in Jiangsu after the two in Nanjing and Suzhou were put into use, and the first of its kind in the Huaihai Economic Zone.

The Bureau is an important channel for exchanging international mails and a significant platform serving the development of cross-border e-commerce. At present, Xuzhou International Mail Exchange Bureau can handle over 1 million domestic mails and over 100,000 international mails to its maximum every day, and provides one-stop services ranging from customs clearance, settlement of exchange, tax refund to parcel delivery for cross-border e-commerce businesses. After its commencement, international mails from Xuzhou, Lianyungang and Suqian are collected at Xuzhou International Mail Exchange Bureau and distributed worldwide after having gone through customs. Two to four days of time can be saved in delivery of international mails.

Xuzhou International Mail Exchange Bureau is one of the ten major economic platforms for opening-up and an integral part of the Huaihai International Land Port. Compared with the first two bureaus, Xuzhou Bureau is able to deliver diversified and convenient customs clearance services by handling ordinary and express mails and regulating commodities of cross-border trade at the same time.
