Data from Taicang Customs show that in the first six months of this year, nearly 650,000 vehicles were exported through Taicang Port to 166 countries and regions across the globe, marking a year-on-year increase of about 71% and setting a record high. In June alone, about 140,000 vehicles were exported, marking the third consecutive month in which monthly exports exceeded 100,000.

According to reports, in the first half of the year, Haitong (Taicang) Automobile Terminal loaded 192 vessels with vehicles, with an average of seven fully loaded ships per week departing from the port. During this period, 520,000 vehicles were exported through Haitong Terminal, up by 66% year on year. Taicang Customs set up a dedicated service window for automobile exports, proactively coordinating the entire process, from vessel berthing and vehicle gathering at the port to on-site inspection. Given the high frequency of export batches and strict delivery schedules, customs officers were assigned to provide full-process guidance to enterprises on compliant customs clearance procedures, and vehicle gathering and loading progress were tracked in real time, safeguarding China-made automobiles in their journey overseas.
