Jiangsu 6G Industry Alliance Established

A ceremony to establish the Jiangsu 6G Industry Alliance was held in Nanjing recently.

The unveiling of the Alliance marks a new phase for our province in 6G industry, characterized by coordinated resource allocation, collaborative research and development, and clustered industrial growth. The Alliance is steered by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and Jiangsu Communications Administration, with China Mobile Jiangsu as the first rotating chair. Bringing together enterprises across the entire industrial chain, the Alliance covers network equipment, chips and core components, air-space-ground integration, terminals and modules, industry applications, security and encryption, and testing and verification. It will undertake six major missions, namely, integrating innovation resources across the entire chain, deepening government-enterprise connectivity, facilitating collaborative breakthroughs in key technologies, building a high-caliber talent pipeline, promoting large-scale application of 6G solutions, and establishing platforms for exchanges and cooperation, so as to foster an ecosystem for 6G development that integrates the government, industries, universities, research institutions, application and finance.

At the ceremony, keynote speeches were delivered by You Xiaohu, Director of the Purple Mountain Laboratories, and Shi Denian, Chief Expert at the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. The Jiangsu 2026 “Smart Connectivity, AI for a Better Life” Network Speed Enhancement Initiative was also launched. China Mobile Jiangsu, China Telecom Jiangsu, China Unicom Jiangsu, China Tower Jiangsu, Jiangsu Culture & Technology Holding Group, and Jiangsu Future Network Group presented their product plans for the initiative. China Mobile Zijin Innovation Institute released a Pre-6G integrated communication-computing- intelligence-control solution for new industrialization.
