updated on:2026-02-03 09:10

On February 1, the opening ceremony of Jiangsu government cloud site and Jiangsu government cloud dispatch center was held in Nanjing. Shen Jianrong, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province and Director General of Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Jiangsu Provincial Data Bureau, unveiled the plaque for the dispatch center.

As the core foundational platform for digital government development, the government cloud is a new type of information infrastructure. It relies on the external network for e-government and the internet, utilizes cloud computing technology and intelligent tools to provide common resources such as computing resources, storage resources, service support, and security guarantees for various business application systems. Jiangsu Provincial Data Bureau is the competent authority for the provincial government cloud; Jiangsu Provincial Big Data Management Center is the operational management institution; and Jiangsu Provincial Data Group is the cloud service provider. The collaboration of the three mentioned entities provides comprehensive, high-quality cloud services for various provincial departments and institutions efficiently. On that day, the provincial government cloud was officially activated, achieving 100% migration of core business systems from 95 provincial-level departments to the cloud. This is a milestone in the provinces digital government development, marking a shift away from decentralized development and isolated operations and its entry into a new phase of integrated governance based on a single, province-wide cloud system.

As the commander and brain center for the operation of the provincial government cloud, Jiangsu government cloud dispatch center, through unified management and scheduling, achieves unified supply and flexible allocation of cloud service resources. With regulation capabilities as convenient and responsive as the use of water and electricity, it provides a continuous, stable output for government services across the province, ensuring zero lag in public service delivery, and effectively supports the improvement of government service efficiency, social governance, and informed decision-making.
