According to Nanjing Customs, Jiangsu’s home appliance exports reached RMB 36.42 billion in the first half of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.

On July 24, the fully automated production line at Hisense Ronshen (Yangzhou) Refrigerator Co., Ltd.’s intelligent manufacturing base was running at full capacity. From January to June this year, the base shipped over 1.97 million refrigerators, with export freight volume reaching 27,000 TEUs. Current orders are scheduled through the first quarter of next year.

In addition to high-performance refrigerators, energy-efficient air conditioners are also gaining popularity in overseas markets. On July 22, Trane Air Conditioning Systems (China) Co., Ltd. exported a batch of centrifugal chiller units valued at approximately RMB 720,000. In the first half of this year, the company’s exports of air conditioners and related components exceeded RMB 1 billion, marking a year-on-year growth of 34%.

To address the challenges of large home appliances, including their bulkiness and the difficulties of loading and unloading, Taicang Customs has guided enterprises to adopt the “direct loading upon port arrival” model. This approach reduces hoisting operations during transportation, shortens average storage time by 1-2 days, and cuts logistics costs by 30%.

Exports of “Cooling gadgets” have also entered peak season. Mini fans and desktop fans from Tengniu Electronic Products Business Department in Mocheng Subdistrict, Changshu City have been successfully exported under the market procurement trade model. To date, Changshu’s goods traded through market procurement have been exported through 105 ports across China to over 170 countries and regions worldwide.
