Among other sources of income, wage income climbed 6.8% year-on-year to RMB 32,105, making it the primary driver of income growth. Net business income stood at RMB 6,840, an increase of 2.9%, which reflects improvements in Jiangsu’s entrepreneurial environment and the vitality of its private economy. Net property income was RMB 5,406, experiencing a slight decline of 0.2%, with minimal impact on overall income. Net transfer income totaled RMB 11,064, up 4.8%, underscoring the improvement of the social security system and the government’s increased investment in public welfare.

Regarding the income of urban and rural residents, the per capita income ratio between urban and rural areas was 2.04, narrowing by 0.03 compared to the same period last year. This suggests that the income gap between urban and rural areas is gradually shrinking.
