The 2025 China-Europe Robotics Conference (Nanjing) was held in Qixia District, Nanjing, where participants from the UK, Spain, Finland, and Russia came to seek ideal partners for collaboration and common progress between China and Europe in the field of robotics.
The global robotics industry is now at a critical stage for technology breakthroughs and applications. Europe, as the cradle of industry 4.0, is home to numerous hidden champions and top-notch research institutions, boasting great strength in core robotics technology R&D, high-end manufacturing, and global business operations.
Nanjing is among the few cities in China capable of supporting the entire robotics value chain, from complete robot manufacturing to key components and broad application scenarios. Its core robotics industry generated RMB 33 billion from January to October this year. The city is home to nearly 200 robotics-related companies, creating a comprehensive industrial system covering industrial, specialized, service and humanoid robots. In addition, its extensive application scenarios and steadily increasing market demands make Nanjing a premium platform for win-win industrial cooperation between Chinese and European companies.
Qixia District has long-standing and solid ties with European businesses. It hosts many well-known multinational companies, including Bosch and ZF Friedrichshafen from Germany as well as Arc and Constellium from France. Qixia aims to build platforms for industrial collaboration, deepen university-industry partnerships and expand application scenarios to align local industrial strengths with Europe’s technological advantages. Its goal is to establish Qixia as a model for China-Europe robotics cooperation.
This event was organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce, Nanjing Robotics Industry Development Office, and the Management Committee of Nanjing Economic and Technological Development Zone.
