Jiangsu is sending a strong delegation to participate in the eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE), to be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10.
The team from the provincial capital, Nanjing, has identified preliminary purchase intentions worth about US$350 million, covering categories such as hardware tools and construction machinery.
Among other cities, Lianyungang will focus on its two leading industries — petrochemicals and biopharmaceuticals — while Nantong and Yangzhou each plan to host sessions aimed at fostering cooperation with enterprises abroad.
As a sideline event, the China (Jiangsu) – Central Asia Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange will bring together more than 80 companies from China, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, among others.
Furthermore, Jiangsu's planned cultural exchange activities will feature 55 enterprises from across the province with over 200 selected exhibits. Among the highlights are displays related to the 2025 Jiangsu Football City League, one of the most popular sporting events in China.
