Recently, the award ceremony for the 2025 Jiangsu Regional Competition of the “Data Factor X” Contest was held in Nanjing. The event recognized 28 first prizes, 45 second prizes, and 77 third prizes, with 28 teams recommended to advance to the national finals.
The Data Factor X Contest, organized by the National Data Administration and other ministries, is a nationwide contest focused on the development and application of data factors. It consists of regional competitions and national finals. The Jiangsu Competition was jointly sponsored by the National Data Administration and Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, and co-organized by 22 provincial departments (including Jiangsu Provincial Data Bureau), 10 prefecture-level cities (including Nanjing), and over 70 institutions and organizations.
The Jiangsu Competition features 13 key sectors such as industrial manufacturing and modern agriculture, along with a dedicated open innovation sector, covering critical areas of integration between the digital economy and the real economy. Since its launch this May, the Jiangsu Competition attracted 1,299 teams with nearly 6,500 participants, marking a 10% increase in scale compared to the previous year. Participating teams engaged in deep innovation aligned with the requirements of different sectors, producing a range of outstanding projects noted for their creativity, high application value, and strong scalability.
