Nine more scenic spots in Jiangsu reached national AAAA level. Such accreditation was made following the national criteria (Classification and Grading of Scenic Spots and Classified Management of Scenic Spots) and through procedures of voluntary application, preliminary assessment and recommendation, and comprehensive evaluation.

The nine newly accredited AAAA scenic spots all have their unique charms. The Nanjing Eye scenic spot, which covered the east and west banks of the Yangtze River branching through the linkage of a footbridge, is most famous for its riverbank scenery and legacy of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. It is now the epitome of the new modern city of Nanjing. Nanjing Shuimo Dike Scenic Spot, a cycling-themed tourist area located at the foot of Laoshan Mountain, offers tourists diverse choices. They can either go sight-seeing, have immersive cultural experience, do sports or enjoy some leisure family time. The historically famous Jinliuzhai Village in Fengxian County of Xuzhou, hometown of the Han Emperor Liu Bang, now becomes a scenic spot where people can have a study tour or spend some leisure time enjoying village scenery, having Han cultural experience, and participating in ancestor-worshiping rites. Qimiao (Wonder) Farm Scenic Spot, covering an area of 53.33 ha, is located in Chongchuan District of Nantong City. In addition to its beautiful eco-environment, one may also find here rich revolutionary legacies and agri-tourism resources, fascinating intangible cultural heritages, and quality facilities such as the hot spring hotel, making it a desirable choice for leisure travel, family trips, study tours and wellness retreats. The museum commemorating the heroic fight (in Nantong, Rudong, Haimen and Qidong) against the “pacification” movement (of Wang’s puppet government intending to suppress and eliminate revolutionary forces) is in Rudong County of Nantong, consisting of a historical materials exhibition hall and a boot camp. Tanggou Liquor Culture Scenic Spot in Guannan County of Lianyungang, centering on the preservation and development of liquor culture, aims to promote integrated development of culture, tourism, and brand. Huai Opera Town in Jianhu County of Yancheng offers immersive experience for tourists by duplicating the 18 scenes in modern Huai Opera Xiao Zhen (Little Town), winner of the national Wenhua Award, the highest honor for professional stage art. Wenyoutai Scenic Spot in Gaoyou City (county-level) of Yangzhou has designed and displayed an array of miniatures of cultural profoundness and poetic vibe based on Song poetry, particularly the work of Qin Guan, a famous man of letters in the Northern Song Dynasty. Shagou Ancient Town in Xinghua City (county-level) of Taizhou appeals to tourists because of its preservation of a large number of heritages such as old residences of celebrities and merchants, memorial arches, ancient wells, and old trees.
