Seven Jiangsu Residents Receive the 18th China Youth Science and Technology Award

The 18th China Youth Science and Technology Award was recently announced, with 99 young scientific talent across the nation being honored, including seven individuals from Jiangsu. Professor Huang Xin of the School of Atmospheric Sciences at Nanjing University received the China Youth Science and Technology Special Award, an accolade granted to only 10 individuals per session.

The other six awardees have made significant achievements in various fields, including materials science, energy science and technology, electronics and communication technology, information and system science, traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacology, and textile science and technology. Their contributions have greatly advanced technological progress and social development.

The China Youth Science and Technology Award was proposed and established in 1987 by renowned scientists such as Qian Xuesen. The award is presented biennially to honor young scientific talent who have made significant and innovative contributions in fields such as natural science research, engineering technology, science and technology popularization, scientific achievement promotion, and scientific management.
