The 2024 World Internet of Things (IoT) Exposition opened in Wuxi City on November 11, with the theme "Ubiquitous Sensing and Insights Generation".
The opening ceremony released he Taihu Index for IoT Innovation and Development, the pilot program of the vehicle-road-cloud integrated system, the White Paper on Advanced Sensing Technologies and Applications, and the Xuelang Industrial LLM.
It also unveiled the Chiplet Integration Engineering Center, the Jiangsu Advanced Communication System and Terminal Equipment Quality Inspection Center, and the Jiangsu IoT Product Inspection and Testing Center for Special Equipment.
In addition, the expo presented awards for new IoT technologies and applications, and saw the signing of agreements for major investment projects.
A total of 33 major IoT projects are expected to be signed during the expo, covering areas such as advanced optical chip manufacturing, low-altitude surveillance radar, and AI computing. These projects involve a total investment of 31.28 billion yuan, with 15 projects each valued at over 1 billion yuan. Of these 33 projects, 22 focus on industry and 6 are dedicated to scientific innovation.
Now in its 15th year, the World IoT Exposition serves as a key showcase and high-level cooperation platform for Wuxi in advancing new industrialization and cultivating new quality productive forces.
Wuxi, known as China’s pioneering IoT city, hosts the only national-level advanced manufacturing cluster in the IoT sector. It has established a full industry chain that spans information sensing, transmission, computing, storage, and applications.
