The 2024 China International Automotive CTO Conference (IACC) was held in Wuxi in recent days. It is known that, in the first three quarters of this year, 1.483 million vehicles were manufactured in Jiangsu, including 801,000 new energy vehicles, both figures ranking among the top in the country.

Themed “New Technology, New Engine, New Momentum”, this year’s IACC attracted over 400 experts and scholars from automotive and related businesses, institutions, universities and research institutes at home and abroad. During the conference, the Initiative to Build a Collaborative Innovation Ecosystem for Automotive Industry in Yangtze River Delta was released to promote the innovative development of the automotive industry in the Yangtze River Delta through joint efforts.

Cao Yang, a Director-General-Level Official of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, said that Jiangsu will step up efforts in policy coordination and implementation, make breakthroughs in core technologies in the key areas of the industrial chain faster, support the growth of leading companies, and encourage cooperation and coordinated development of upstream and downstream companies in the industrial chain, so as to become a pace-setter in the development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles.
