On October 19, the matchmaking event for key industrial chains of new materials, new energy, and new electric power was held in Nanjing. The event was co-organized by Jiangsu Advanced Materials Cluster Promotion Organization and Jiangsu Advanced Materials Industry Association under the guidance of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology.

During the event, relevant divisions of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology gave interpretation of policies on large-scale equipment renewal in the industrial sector. As of September 20, 325 projects in Jiangsu have been included in the first national list of refinancing projects for technological upgrading. Additionally, 310 loan contracts with discount for the provincial manufacturing industry were signed, with total loans of RMB 94 billion. The Jiangsu Advanced Materials Industry Association offered interpretation on Jiangsu Catalogue of Guidance on the First Application of Key Advanced Materials (2024 Edition). An exhibition on Jiangsu’s latest development of new materials was hosted, which covered the industrial achievements of each prefecture-level city and innovation outcomes of enterprises specializing in new materials. Statistics showed that last year, sales (taxed) of enterprises in the advanced materials industry cluster were close to RMB 2 trillion. The number of enterprises exceeded 10,000, including 6,500 large scale ones, which was among the national top. Sales (taxed) of enterprises in the new energy industry cluster registered RMB 1.2 trillion, accounting for 30% of the national total as the largest contributor. Sales (taxed) of new electrical power industry cluster neared RMB 1 trillion, and the development of its sub-sectors such as UHV, power transmission and distribution, relay protection, and power grid dispatching took leading roles in industry.
