October 20, 2024 witnessed the official opening ceremony of the Binjiang Campus of Nanjing Agricultural University. This new campus, located along the Yangtze River in Jiangbei New Area, is the third campus of the university. It spans a total area of 1.683 million m2, including 1.2 million m2 planned for construction. In the first phase of construction, which covered 0.78 million m2, more than 40 buildings, including the library, teaching buildings, stadium, student center, and administrative buildings, were completed. In September this year, 16,000 teachers and students moved in as its first users. The campus is the first one in China based on all-optical network as part of the modern teaching system it is trying to build, which will ensure better connectivity and efficient management.
