On May 18, the 4th E-commerce Development Conference Lianyungang-China & the 518 Online Shopping Season kicked off. A total of seven investment projects were signed on site, with a total investment of nearly 2.6 billion yuan, during which e-commerce giants such as Alibaba East China Co., LTD., Shanghai Xunmeng Information Technology Co., LTD. (Pinduoduo) and Beijing Kuaishou Technology Co., Ltd. signed e-commerce strategic cooperation agreements with Lianyungang City.

In recent years, Lianyungang’s e-commerce industry has been developing vigorously in transaction scale and quality. A variety of industries such as Donghai Crystal, Ganyu Seafood, Guanyun themed apparel, Guannan mushroom, Haizhou sports apparel, and Lianyun cross-border characteristic e-commerce have witnessed high-quality development while achieved differentiation. The e-commerce development pattern driven by industrial leaders and clustering of characteristic industries is taking shape.
