In recent days, the opening ceremony of Water Charm Jiangsu· You are Needed, the 2023 Culture and Tourism Promotion Season, co-hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Jiangsu Development and Reform Commission, the Department of Commerce of Jiangsu Province, and Wuxi Municipal People’s Government, was held in Wuxi. Vice Governor Xu Ying was present.
The theme of the 2023 Culture and Tourism Promotion Season is Embracing Spring Together. The culture and tourism government departments, businesses and public institutions of the province join hands with e-commerce platforms, new media platforms and financial institutions to launch a total of “1+16+N” activities, which will last until the end of the year. Meanwhile, 348 cultural and tourism activities involving various themes such as flower appreciation, fashionable traditional culture and camping will be held in localities across the province, and 268 measures will be rolled out to improve people’s well-being.
At the opening ceremony, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism signed agreements with 10 financial institutions, including the Bank of Ningbo, the Bank of Jiangsu, and WeChat Pay, to jointly launch the Water Charm Jiangsu· Digital RMB Application and Promotion activity. The Water Charm Jiangsu· 100 Travel Agencies Experiencing Travel Routes activity kicked off at the same time. China’s top 100 e-commerce companies on tourism and travel agencies which organize tourists from major tourist source provinces went to the 13 prefecture-level cities to investigate and experience travel routes. On the same day, the plaque-awarding ceremony was also held for the provincial pilot project on the application scenarios of digital RMB in the field of culture and tourism, the second batch of provincial demonstration areas for convenient payment of cultural and tourism consumption, the third batch of provincial clusters for nighttime cultural and tourism consumption, and the second batch of provincial demonstration institutions for cultural and tourism consumption.
