Another 55 Online Exhibitions Launched to Stabilize Foreign Trade in Jiangsu
updated on:2020-10-19 08:29

News from Jiangsu Department of Commerce reveals that 55 more online exhibitions themed as “Jiangsu’s fine goods going around the world” will be launched from October to December, including 50 online matching conferences and five online international exhibitions. This will be another series of online exhibitions in Jiangsu after 22 such events which were held in June this year. Companies involved in foreign trade in Jiangsu will be facilitated to secure their overseas orders, markets and operations amidst the on-going COVID-19 response. The effort also helps to stabilize the fundamentals in the foreign trade in Jiangsu, and contributes to the new growth pattern of “dual circulations”.

The 50 matching conferences to be launched by Jiangsu Department of Commerce involve 21 countries and 11 major industrial sectors, amongst which 68% of the market share comes from countries along the BRI routes. It is expected that about 2,000 companies in Jiangsu as well as 2,500 overseas buyers will take part in over 10,000 matching activities online. Meanwhile, as Jiangsu Department of Commerce continues to work with cross-border e-commerce platforms, five comprehensive international exhibitions are selected to be launched online, covering more industrial sectors and supporting more foreign traders to expand markets online.

The 55 online exhibitions will be sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Special Fund for Business Development, a major effort to stabilize the fundamentals in Jiangsu’s foreign trade.
