Suzhou Becomes Pilot City for Construction Waste Control

In recent days, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China released 35 pilot cities for building rubbish control, and Suzhou was one of them. By the end of next year, Suzhou, with other selected cities, will have carried out a series of pilot work on construction waste control and summarize experience that can be replicated and promoted.

From pushing forward with recycled utilization of construction waste as resources, to whole-process oversight of building rubbish with smart technology from its generation to disposal, in recent years, Suzhou has established three major systems for improving construction waste control, which have effectively enhanced the disposal, management and utilization as resources of urban construction waste.  

At the end of this year, another production line for utilization of decoration waste as resources with an annual disposal capacity of 150,000 tons is expected to start construction in Wangting, Suzhou.
